Welcome
Welcome to the Living Equalities on-line resource!
Living Equalities is a partnership between Giles Barrow and Anisha Pandya, bringing together our work in education, relationships, equity and organisational change. At the heart of our work in schools in Rochdale is a commitment to cultural change, rather than simply introducing a new programme or set of techniques. We work with schools to explore what it means to place equity and relationality at the centre of school life, drawing on the principles and practices of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Our focus is on how people relate, how power and difference are navigated, how conflict is approached, and how the everyday culture of a school can support greater connection, participation and belonging for children, staff and the wider school community.
